City of London School for Girls is an independent girls' day school in the financial city with just under 700 students. We are in the middle of the Barbican opposite the Arts Centre and near the Guildhall School of Music.
The department consists of three teachers, myself Miss Kelly, Miss Stewart and Ms Childs. Our department teaches all pupils up to Year Eleven. In Years Ten and Eleven we teach General RS lessons in conjunction with PHSE.
We run a GCSE course using Edexcel papers in Religion and Life from Christian Perspectives and we also do a paper on Judaism.
We also have a popular A Level paper where everybody studies Philosophy of Religion and Ethics.
We are affiliated to the Independent Schools Religious Studies Association (ISRSA), which has a great conference in November. Well worth attending.
